Who We Are:
We were chartered in 1956 to provide fun and fellowship for
Shriners and their Ladies, and to provide and promote opportunities to
further the Shriners of North America philanthropy for Shriners and their
Ladies. 22 Shriners Hospitals are dedicated to providing state of the art
medical, surgical, orthopedic, surgical and rehabilitative care to kids
under 18 years of age in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Our Shrine Center
affiliation is with Nile Shrine Center in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.
However, the Northwest Shrine Club in Bellingham, WA is geographically
closer to Gizeh Shrine Center in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. We are
anxious to recruit men who capture the vision and have a heart to serve kids
with disabilities. Members are urged to look for and talk with parents about
our sponsoring kids to receive care, treatment and hope from Shriners
Hospitals. In 2010 over $850 million dollars will be spent on FREE hospital
and medical care healing kids with disabilities. We're proud to support and provide all that we can toward
this goal. Shriners may be America's best kept secret, but we're working to
reverse that... If you would like to be a Shriner, please contact any of our
Officers using the information given under the Officers link at your left in
the menu.
Our Present Goals:
Members have elected to expand our horizons, to attract
young men to become members of the greatest philanthropy in the world. The
Shrine of North America spends $68 million every month on FREE medical care for disabled and burned kids. The
Northwest Shrine Club endeavors to advance the Club's presence in the
Whatcom County jurisdiction of Washington State. We want to expand our
membership by recruiting young men, by stimulating our membership through
fun and heart-warming endeavors on behalf of kids with disabilities. We meet
monthly, enjoy community events and activities that take part in the Nile
Shrine Center's facilities and activities. Any man over age 21 is eligible
to become a Shriner, and we're looking for YOU.
Our Future:
Our plans are to become much more visible in the Whatcom
County community. We have plans to raise money, have fun, do great things
for kids with disabilities, and while we're at it, add to our membership.
There are many good and great causes to become involved in. This is a cause
that both provides fun and purpose. It's a great day when a Shriner speaks
with a parent of a kid with a disability and they agree to let the Shriners
do our "thing." A man adopts a child on that day, and there is nothing like
it. No man stands as tall as when he stoops to pick up a disabled kid. And
the results of Shriner's care are beyond imagination. Contact us by clicking

Shriner's Hospital care.
